Q: How will I know the difference between a walk-in bin and a skip bin?

Walk-in bins are larger in size and have more capacity than skip bins. Skip bins are the ones with smaller bottoms and larger tops. Walk-in bins have rear opening so you can enter the unit.

Q: What is the common size for skip bins used in simple household clean-ups?

Skip bins for basic household clean-ups are mini skips 3 and 4 cubic metres.

Q: How much weight can a skip bin accommodate?

Skip bins can hold an approximate of 500 kilograms per cubic metre. If you will require more, we can provide larger ones that may have additional weight limits.

Q: Is it alright to overflow skip bins?

Wastes cannot overflow or go over the top of skip bins for safety reasons. It is better to get a larger skip bin if you think that your waste will go above the brim so we do not compromise anyone’s safety.

Q: How long can I keep the skip bins?

The length of time that you can keep the skip bins will depend on your contract. If it goes beyond that, you can always rent them for additional days for as long as you need them.

Q: How do I know if the truck will fit in my driveway?

Your driveway should have a minimum of 3 metre clearance in width and 4 metre clearance in height with no hanging wires or tree branches and no sharp bends. This is standard because skip bin trucks are longer and needs turning room.
